Terms of use

These cover using this website. If you hire us, your signed service agreement is what governs the work.

Avelio Marketing (“we”, “us”) is a marketing business registered in British Columbia, Canada, based in Vancouver. These terms cover anyone using aveliomarketing.com.

What this website is

This website describes what we do and roughly what it costs. It is information, not an offer or a contract. Using it does not create a working relationship between us, and neither does booking a call.

Prices shown here

The prices on this website are our current package prices for a standard build. They are a starting point, not a quote, and they can change. A price becomes binding only when it is written into a service agreement that both of us have signed.

What we build, and what we don’t

We build informational websites. We do not build online stores, payment processing, customer accounts or logins, booking systems that hold live availability or take deposits, marketplaces, mobile apps, or integrations with other business software. Nothing here should be read as offering those.

Booking a call

Calls are booked through Calendly and run on Google Meet. Both are third-party services with their own terms.

We record our meetings. We use a notetaking tool so we can listen properly instead of typing, and so we have an accurate record of what you asked for when we start building. Google Meet shows a recording indicator on screen while it runs, and we say so at the start of the call.

We would rather record, because it means nothing gets missed. It is still your call: tell us at the start and we will turn the recording off. Our privacy policy covers what we do with recordings and how long we keep them.

Using this website

You may read this website, print it, and share links to it. Please don’t:

  • copy our text, design, photographs or video to use elsewhere without our written permission;
  • scrape, harvest or bulk-download the site, or use it to train a model, without our written permission;
  • try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or anything behind it;
  • use anything here to mislead people about who you are or who we are.

Who owns what

The Avelio Marketing name, logo, site design, written copy, and the photographs and video we publish here are ours. Work shown in our portfolio belongs to the businesses it was made for, and we show it with their permission. Anything you send us stays yours, and you give us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it.

Links to other websites

We link to other websites, including businesses we have built for. We don’t control those websites and are not responsible for what is on them.

No guarantees about this website

We keep this website accurate and available as best we reasonably can, but we don’t guarantee it is error free, always up to date, or never offline. Descriptions, timelines and prices can change. If something here is out of date and it matters to your decision, ask us and we’ll confirm it in writing.

Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this website, such as lost profits, lost business, or lost data. Where we are found responsible for something connected to this website, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you have paid us, or CAD $100 if you have not paid us anything.

Nothing here removes any right you have under British Columbia or Canadian consumer protection law that cannot legally be removed. If you have hired us, the responsibility terms in your signed service agreement apply to that work instead.

Which document wins

If anything here conflicts with a service agreement you have signed with us, the signed service agreement wins for everything to do with your project. These terms only cover use of the website itself.

Changes

We may update these terms as the business changes. The current version is always the one published here, with the date at the top. Using the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes about this website go to the courts of British Columbia.
