How Avelio Marketing collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated 8 August 2026
Avelio Marketing (“we”, “us”) is a marketing business based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This page explains what information we collect when you use aveliomarketing.com or work with us, and what we do with it. Privacy questions go to [email protected] and are handled personally.
The short version
We collect only what we need to build your website and produce your photos and video, we never sell your information, and you can ask us at any time what we have and to correct or delete it.
What we collect
- Contact details — your name, business name, email, and phone, when you book a call, email us, message us on Instagram, or speak with us.
- Business information for your project — services, prices, hours, your story, your logo, and materials you give us to put on your website.
- Photos and video — taken at your business if your package includes a shoot. Anyone recognizable signs a model release first.
- Call recordings and notes — we record our meetings with a notetaking tool (Fathom) so we can focus on the conversation and keep an accurate record of what you asked for. Google Meet shows a recording indicator while it runs, we say so at the start, and you can ask us to turn it off.
- Payment records — invoices and Interac e-Transfer confirmations. We never see or store card numbers.
- On our website — no advertising trackers and no marketing cookies. The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so Google receives standard technical data (like your IP address) when a page loads; our hosting provider keeps similar technical logs to run the service.
How we use it
To provide the services you hired us for: scheduling, building and delivering your website and media, invoicing, support, and keeping the business records the law requires. With your permission, we also show finished work in our portfolio. If you’ve asked us about our services, we may follow up — every marketing email we send identifies us and includes a working unsubscribe, as Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL) requires, and we stop when you say stop.
Where your information lives
We use well-known tools to run the business: Google (email), Calendly (booking), Fathom (call notes), ClickUp (client management), Supabase (our website’s intake form, stored in Canada), and our website hosting provider (Cloudflare). Some of these store data outside Canada (typically the United States), where it’s subject to local laws. We keep access limited to our two-person team.
What we never do
- Sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever.
- Share it with anyone except the service providers above, or where the law requires.
- Use your photos, video, or business name in our marketing without your permission.
How long we keep it
Project files and client records: for as long as you’re a client and for the period business and tax records must be kept (generally six years under CRA rules). Call recordings: 12 months after your project ends, then deleted. Raw (unedited) shoot footage: 90 days after delivery, then deleted. Prospect information (businesses we researched but never worked with): deleted or anonymized within 12 months of last contact.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and BC’s Personal Information Protection Act), you can ask us: what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it (where we’re not legally required to keep it). You can withdraw consent to recording, portfolio use, or marketing at any time. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC or the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top and, for meaningful changes, tell active clients directly.
